October 2009....

Currently there are no issues with the mechanical aspects of the engine, a cracked cylinder head repair was professionally carried out a good number of years ago.

 

New radiator hoses and a new air intake hose have been purchased to replace the old cracked ones. A new mushroom air pre-cleaner was fitted in March 2009. There signs of a small coolant leak in the radiator so we'll need to check this. The tachometer hasn't functioned for years although I'm pretty sure that a new cable should fix this. The throttle linkage needs some attention as the vertical section to the lever is too short and will need extending by 1/2" or so and then adjusting.

 

We may eventually get around to removing the injector pump and servicing it, an oil top up is required. With the pump off the engine block will be cleaned, prepped and painted.
