Hydraulics test – THEY WORK GREAT!

Today we got the wheels reassembled & fitted although they still need another coat of orange. The second RH brake shoe got relined and riveted.
We dropped the tractor off the axle stands to run it up so we could check how the rebuilt hydraulics function. They worked perfectly, lifting higher and more controlled than ever before. Some adjustment of the hitch link arms is needed to stop damage to the rear housing - videos have been added. (remember to close the external service valve when no dead headed pipe is fitted!) Brake refitting is still to do but we are now in desperate need for two springs that fit on the brake cam shafts. These springs push a washer against the back plates to keep the dust & muck out. A trip to the local dealers was useless so we are probably going to get them custom made - I like the idea of stainless steel but it maybe cost prohibitive.
Website: Added photos to the Hydraulics & Braking System pages & uploaded two new videos to the Videos page - enjoy!
